A lot of sets were sacrificed for the making of Underworld... Well actually they were all broken (some literally..... O__o) before then  I don't do that unless I really think its worth it. In your case it was worth it.  No all the pieces come from old sets that were already destroyed and some from pick-a- brick. I didn't take apart any existing sets except I borrowed minifigure parts and weapons/accessories |

Sometimes if you take pictures in certain ways, you can create the illusion of something better...... |

Depending on what the finale's supposed to be like, perhaps that could be an option. But even then, you would still need a few pieces... |

Or you could do forced perspective, which means using micro builds and minifigures but have the minifigs at a certain angle so the micro build looks far away.
