Well grade 8 was really the only exception because we studied the Aztecs, Japan and the European Renaissance. But yes Canada history is limited and Boring its the same stuff every year in Grade 7 it was how the Europeans came to Canada and it was about the Natives and how there life changed under European control. In Grade 6 and 9 it was all about Economics and Politics in Canada and the past of Canada. And it's technically called "Social Studies" instead of History here. But yeah I want to take European History it would be alot more interesting. I think the Roman empire and the world wars are very interesting. I never learned about Japan's or Aztec's history though... would be interesting for a change. But there is a lot to tell about European history I guess. Oh wait We did learn about the Greeks for a few months in Grade 6 as well.

No offense but isn't the Canadian history very limited? I always thought that there's hardly anything know about the history of Canada before the Europeans found it. And if you only get Canadian history does that mean you never really studied the Roman empire and stuff like that? Wow, American History seems a lot better than Canadian History. We get the Revolution, Civil War. And we get some other wars like French & Indian, 1812, and such. It drags at times like Reconstruction and the Constitution but it's pretty good.

We were supposed to do some American history in my second year of secondary school but my teacher got very ill and they couldn't find anyone to replace him so I didn't have any history lessons for a year. Because of that there was a gap in my knowledge of history from 1600 to 1900. But I do now we're repeating everything so I guess I might get something about the American revolution soon (we're studying the 18th century now).

But I was born In Florida but much of my family lives in Canada so we moved here when I was 6 or 7. We did learn about the revolution and war of 1812 for a little while in grade 7.

I love Math, highest in my class. LOL I'm different from both of you guys. I'm good at math, but I don't like it. I'm like that too. And since I don't like it, I don't try to understand it, and my grades in math are a bit worse than they could be, if I tried harder.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but I enjoy it. My favorite subjects are History and Science.

I just really don't like math. My homeschooling is set so I can learn whatever I want, and I love learning about ancient cultures and language history, and etymology.

That's one o the best classes I've ever heard of Ivar I'm interested in geography, history and astronomy mainly. I've always found learning about things of the past to be fun.
