It has just been announced Disney closed Lucasarts and both 1313 and Star Wars first assault are CANCELLED.
They have gone way too far. The game and clone wars fans should all unite and do something against Disney. They can't do this!!

 Even if we united into the biggest SW army and caused the biggest riot against a company in history, they would still turn their heads and cough. In the end, the decisions are theirs, not ours. And that's what really gets me angry.

I guess this is the end of Star Wars. No TCW, no detours, no 1313, no First Assault, no Battlefront 3, no Lucasarts, only a terrible new movie nobody asked for.

Even if their sequel trilogy is amazing (which I don't expect) it will only be a total of 6 hours of Star Wars content spread out over ~9 years. TCW gave us 8 hours each year. And the games lucasarts made, like Battlefront 2, gave us a lot more.
I don't think I'll even watch the sequels... Disney doesn't deserve the money.

Why would Disney even want to do this? I have a reason, money. Cold hard cash. That's all they care about. They don't care how many fans they piss off. All they care about is the money. And that's just sickening.

Many people blamed George Lucas for only being interested in money. Well now they've been proven wrong! Apparently TCW and Lucasarts didn't make enough money but George Lucas didn't cancel them...

I actually wish some other studio like Universal or Warner Bros would buy out Lucasfilm. I somehow feel they would've done better than this.

Agreed, Maverick. That would actually be a good idea. And, how could TCW *not* make enough money? For crying out loud they made Lego Star Wars III: *The Clone Wars*. That's a pretty good indication that they're making enough money. *sighs*

I have just been looking through the internet and there are rumors EA and Bioware are interested in buying 1313 and completing it. Maybe there's some hope... I guess you're right... some companies would have treated Lucasfilm better. |

Disney's making way too many reckless choices. I actually think they may have paid a little too much. Over the past few years they bought Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. All of which went for billions of dollars. I think they have a financial wound and they're trying to heal it.

I read it was confirmed Lego SW 4 was being made a few months before Disney took over Lucasfilm. But I just read the Lego SW games only got the Lucasarts logo on it but were all licensed out to other companies. That's what Disney plans to do with future SW games so I guess there's at least hope for Lego SW 4.

Yeah, you can play as Spider-Man and possibly Venom in Lego Marvel Heroes.  And, I just bought a Sonic game yesterday (I'm not a fan but it looked fun). It's called "Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing". It's *really* fun! I play as Shadow the Hedgehog. Soon, I'm gonna get "Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed". I've seen some gameplay and it's equally as cool. |

I also love the fact that every track you are racing by land, sea, and air! Also, did you know that Shadow is the second favorite character in the whole Sonic saga? First is...well...Sonic. All the fans made a big deal out of Shadow's "death" and eventually Sega made "Shadow the Hedgehog" the video game. I'm looking at some gameplay now on YouTube and it looks really cool. |
