Finally in uncharted territory, no idea how this one will play out.

I'm gonna guess it won't be anything significant and sort of "filler". It'll be nice to see Ahsoka but I don't think it will show anything about the war or Anakin. Hope I'm wrong

Hope I'm wrong Reddit seems to believe there’s a Anakin/Kenobi side plot somewhere in this arc. And that Ahsoka meets back up with them during this arc before Siege. I mean Dark Disciple arc had quite a bit of Anakin and Kenobi so they like to use them a lot

It would be nice if it was a substantial side plot. Something like Grievous attacking Obi's Venator in the young Jedi arc

So are we assuming that the last 8 episodes will be two arcs. An Ahsoka post Jedi Order arc and the Sige of Mandalore arc?

Uh... I’m not sure how I feel about this one, it’s giving me some serious Ahsoka season 5 vibes and those arcs on Onderon and with the Younglings weren’t exactly the best the show has seen. It felt somewhat refreshing to see Coruscant and all sorts of aliens and stuff again but if there’s 3 more episodes of this then that’s gonna get old fast.
I have a pretty good feeling where this is headed and honestly I think I would have preferred a more meaningful arc focused on the main cast to tie it into the war and ROTS better. I’m not a very big fan of these two sisters either, they kind of seem like Female Lux’s...
I’m gonna hold off on leaving a rating for the time being, but I hope there’s some Anakin/ Kenobi side plot at some point. Maybe this arc was chosen cause it didn’t rely on voice actors from 6 years ago other than Ashley, idk. There wasn’t much voice talent used for Bad Batch either, in reality it was like 6 voice actors that entire arc. Lanter, JAT, Wood, DBB, whoever does Trench and the Windu voice actor. Most of the voice work was done years ago as well for that.

Also one thing that really rubbed me the wrong way is Ahsoka reluctance to use the force... this isn’t order 66 or Empire era. When Ahsoka finally gives in to the force to save Trace it gave me huge Cal Kestis vibes when he saves his friend on the venator but that just doesn’t draw the same response here. There’s no risk to using the force other than maybe bounty hunters or something idk.
Just seemed kind of dumb that they are taking this approach.

I’m gonna be honest bros this was kind of a stupid episode. I was cringing very hard at the beginning like what be hell was going on? Ashoka was like I don’t have any money then the girl was like that’s okay no one does then she’s like I need money then Ahsoka’s like nah but I’ll keep using your shit. What?? All they had to do was have Ahsoka work for the girl to pay off the parts she needed it’s pretty simple. Maybe that was actually what they were going for but it was too awkward. They talked way too much about payment and it was just weird
Also they just beat the shit out of a landlord who came to collect rent like damn he didn’t even do anything lol
The droids were dumb. You’re telling me someone designed droids to not listen to commands and instead run around and destroy everything in their path? What? Demolition droids make sense for like construction or whatever but randomly destroying stuff doesn’t. Just needed one or two lines about messed up programming or something again not very hard
Who fucking wrote this episode? A Rebels writer? God damn it

I don’t want to follow those sisters for three more episodes. I knew they would be annoying and cringey. I hate Trace’s design so much she looks like she has a mound of poo poo on her forehead. Come on who thought that looked good?
I need that Anakin Obi-Wan subplot or this shit is probably gonna be trash. At least until it connects to the Mandalore arc. However I feel like Ani/Obi might not be in that one at all... Idk would be dope to see stuff after ROTS’ climax with dark side Anakin perhaps even Vader in the suit. I think to see Vader in the suit we might need to see something with Anakin vs Obi-Wan first though and I don’t know if there will be time...

Yeah I agree this wasn’t a great episode.... I fully understand the Bad Batch, I kind of liked it since it was a battle focused story and they had the work almost entirely done for that so it made a lot of sense. But if you’re making 4 episodes from basically scratch. Why choose this?

Honestly come to think of it... 8/12 of these episodes were meant for season 7 and not even season 8. Although I think they are slightly altering them a bit to make them closer to ROTS, like Anakin and Padme conversation in the last arc.

Who fucking wrote this episode? A Rebels writer? God damn it Filoni and Charles Murray who wrote the entire Ahsoka arc, did this one haha. Anyway, I mostly agree. It was a really slow, not very interesting introduction to post-Jedi Order Ahsoka. Assuming we'll be hanging around with just Ahsoka the next three episodes, I hope this picks up a lot more. This one felt mostly needless. The droid stuff wasn't exactly engaging. It could be cool if they really give us some more focus on Ahsoka and her doubts about leaving the order. Her seeing Anakin and Obi-Wan would be cool, but I'm guessing we won't see that trio together again until the Mandalorian arc, where she'll eventually say goodbye for the last time, when they leave to save Palpatine. I hope the Maul duel in that arc will be in the third episode at the latest, just so the last episode can be entirely focused on Order 66 and Rex and Ahsoka escaping together. Imagine seeing those to having to shoot/cut down clones to escape. Maybe even some of the named clones. Speaking of, which of the named clones are even still around at this point. Is it really just Jesse and Kix and I guess Appo if we count his brief cameo? Appo and Kix can't die, so just Jesse, isn't it? Maybe Dogma if he ever gets released.

Well Kix shouldn’t be in the Siege arc, at some point he gets captured while investigating the chips and Dooku keeps him in carbon or something. I’m surprised he was even in Bad Batch tbh... but yeah I guess Appo and Jesse are the main ones, although Appo should be with the main 501st regiment on Coruscant for Operation Knightfall. The group with Ahsoka is just a small amount of clones on manadalore it seems, probably just Torrent Company (led by Rex) which I think Appo is apart of the larger 501st at this point and not just Torrent company.

But yeah Kix has had a post ROTJ story for a very long time now if some of you aren’t aware... probably around the same time as The Lost Missions.

Let’s be honest though, the best part of this episode and probably the only meaningful character building moment was the “My older brother taught me”... puts a lot in perspective of how much Anakin meant to her. Just like Anakin sees Kenobi as sort of a father in AOTC.

I am very disappointed with this episode. I know it's meant to establish these characters, but I'm pretty certain that once we've seen this entire arc, this episode will still feel pointless. Almost nothing about it was interesting. The first third pandered in circles, especially with so much repetition over the idea of payment like Kenbo said. I think there's potential that the sisters become interesting, but as of this episode, they are pretty one-dimensional.
I enjoyed seeing more of the Underworld, but even that didn't make the episode significantly more interesting. Honestly, I lost interest in this story barely halfway into it. Really hope the rest of the arc improves the narrative.

This would have been better probably... although I did compare Trace to female Lux earlier and this could be Lux 2.0...

I mean tbh I would've liked a female character Ahsoka can become friends with but Trace is just too cringey. This guy actually might've been funny and his voice actor sounded decent. I got some Han Solo vibes almost from him Looks like Ahsoka's outfit was different originally too didn't have those weird bell bottoms lol

This was kinda bad. I mean, one episode in and I can already tell this arc is overstretched and likely unnecessary. It also just reminds me of something: Ahsoka's just not interesting enough to carry a whole story to me. Kinda hoping it picks up, but I'm not holding my breath...

Well it’s the return of Ahsoka’s mechanic side from the Mortis arc. Cool I guess.

This feels like a pilot for a show I don’t want to watch.
Honestly that’s how most mediocre four part arcs start. (Onderon, Younglings, D-Squad, Bad Batch)
Actually The Gathering literally was a pilot for a show I don’t want to watch.
