Here we are at last: Season 6. Can't believe we're already here. But well, we still got three more arcs to look at.

But can’t help but feel some of the lighting and textures look off in the first episode.

“Tup’s my best friend” “Really?” “By default, sir. Hevy blew up. Echo blew up. Hardcase blew up. I don’t know where Jesse is but he’s not in this episode.”

Anankin should’ve gone for the bridge in Shadow of Malevolence. Both Grievous and Nala Se would be dead.

Russo and AZ show the TCW team knows how to write good droid characters. So how come when it’s time for a droid centered arc they give us WAC?

In the second episode they talk say Protocol 66 is a safeguard but in the next one they talk about like it was something that was going to happen.
I’m guessing that Nala Se was actually in on the whole thing then and Lama Su was being manipulated?

The Unknown is a very kickass premiere to Season 6. It would probably be the best one if they hadn’t shufffled around “Revival.”
The location and the aesthetic is very cool. I noted that there is something off with the textures in a few scenes. Like maybe it’s just me but I feel as though things look too clean. But even if that’s the case, it’s not really something you can hold against the episode.
There are some very cool scenes in here, my favorite being the zero-G battle where Tup is taken. It almost feels like a horror movie, as does the aftermath with the ice on them. The opening battle is pretty cool and it’s crazy seeing Trench there again.
The story of course is so intriguing that they used a clip from this episode to tide us over for an entire year. I never thought they would delve this much into Order 66 but I’m glad they did. Seeing the clones have so much personality in the show made them feel almost too different from the cold blooded machines in ROTS. So I’m glad they address that in a way that makes sense.
I like everything at the end too with Ani, Rex, and Fives going after Tup. Anyone else get some First Contact vibes? Anyway, that sequence is just really kickass and enjoyable. And hey, if there’s sound in space, there must be air so I don’t think it’s crazy to suggest drag is a possibility.
Anyway, this is a really good episode and kicks it off with enough action to tide us over the next few episodes. 9/10

Conspiracy is a very different kind of episode from the last but is one I like quite a bit. AZ-3 is probably my favorite droid on the show and I’m glad Ben Diskin finally gets to voice a side character that I don’t hate.
Anyway, the story for this one is pretty good and I like the questions it raises, such as whether killing someone is worth it to possibly save others. I like how wiling Fives is to disobey orders and it’s in line with who we know him as. Hey if you survive Krell, you probably feel pretty invincible, right? I like the insight we keep getting into the biochips. And it’s tellibg to see that the Kaminoans still seem to keep regular contact with Tyranus.
The ending I think is very unexpected and well done. I don’t remember if I expected Tup to die but it’s just really tragic after everything Fives went fhrough to help him. Also I like how it’s ambiguous if he died despite Fives’s efforts or because of them.
It’s not the most exciting but it’s a really intriguing episode and there’s not much I can say is wrong with it. I think it deserves an 8/10.

Fugitive is another good episode that is very tense despite not a whole lot of action. It’s good to see Fives getting so close to uncovering this thing.
Fives and AZ make a great duo. I never thought they'd pair Fives with a droid but I’m glad they did. I like seeing them investigate and there’s a lot of great moments between the two. I like when AZ warns Fives the surgery might kill him but Fives remains to determined to go through with it.
I think Shaak Ti is quite dumb in this arc but well she’s on the Jedi Council. What should I expect? I may be wrong but it feels like she was onboard with erasing Fives’ memory. The “physical” sounds like obvious bullshit and both her and Nala Se seemed to be acting way too nice in that first scene.
It’s just really really interesting to get more and more answers towards Order 66 as the arc unfolds. This one might be the weakest out of the bunch as there’s no big death or cool battles. But it’s still a fun and interesting part of it all. 7.5/10.

Orders is my favorite episode out of the bunch. I like how big it makes he story and how well it ties into ROTS.
This is a really tragic way for Fives to go, but in many ways it was the only way he could’ve ended. Palpating got aw far as he did because he was dealing with a Republic that was trained not to ask questions of think for themselves. Kind of ironic that a clone put more effort into stopping Order 66 than the entire Jedi Council.
It is a bit weird to have an episode focusing on a character fleeing the authorities on Coruscant because they were framed so soon after the last one but it’s different enough and doesn’t really repeat any of the same beats. I kinda wish we got to see what exactly Palestine said to Fives bc if he said “yeah I’m brainwashing all the Clones to kill the Jedi” then I’m not sure how the shocktroopers wouldn’t have heard it. Unless they just don’t care. But I feel like they would. Eh fuck Shocktroopers.
The taxi scene is quite interesting. Here’s Fives telling this random person about the plot that wil lead to the Rise of the Empire but this guy just doesn’t care. It’s a weird break from the action but it adds something yet I’m not exactly sure what.
79’s is interesting. I want even aware the non-shock trooper clones would be on Coruscant so often but hey I got to see drunk Clones for it. I kinda wish Fives had talked to Jesse instead of Kix. Just because Jesse was with him the last time he went rogue so it would be cool to reinforce how this is event more desperate than Umbara. Also Fives and Kix never really had much of a friendship. I’m not even sure that they talked on Umbara.
Anyway, I really love the scene where Fives tries to explain the plot to Anakin and Rex. What he’s saying does in fact sound crazy coming from him and it’s heartbreaking knowing they won’t believe him. And ultimately, Fives ends up dying for nothing, masterfully played by Palpatine.
In the end, it probably would’ve been better had Fives been captured or even killed at the beginning of the episode. The trouble with dead men is that people tend to listen to them. Had he been shadily killed, even the perpetual laziness of the Jedi Council night not above been enough to stop them from investigating. So Palpatine first had to discredit Fives to such a degree that even those who knew him best would think he was wrong. He made it so anyone who agreed with Fives would be seen as a mad and raving lunatic. Only then could Fives die.
This might be the most tragic episode, and it’s executed really well. Almost as well as Order... 66. Roll the Imperial March. 9.5/10

The Unknown is a great episode and it was just amazing watching it the first time to have some clone wars back after years of it being gone... I can only imagine how the first episode of season 7 will feel even if we already kind of seen it in story reels.
I really like the battle at the start, it’s a pretty unique location and it has some interesting concepts thrown in like the B2 Rocket droids, the riot shields and the two Jedi sisters, also the return of Trench who might be my favorite sepratists outside of the main ones. Come to think of it why isn’t there more Jedi siblings? Parents have to give up their kids to the Jedi but often times couples have more than one, isn’t there a good chance a sibling would be force sensitive as well? Although I guess maybe not because the parents themselves might not be force sensitive. In the lore children of force sensitives seem to naturally be force sensitive, but I guess there ain’t too many Jedi couples...
I love the mystery around this episode, we know the execution of Master Tiplar has something to do with order 66 but we don’t really know why as no hologram of Palps pops up and says “the time has come”. It’s cool though that Dooku and Sidious seem to know the exact reason leaving the audience in suspense.
Also I still believe Palpatine had the clones programmed to ignore Anakin and not classify him as a Jedi. Tup doesn’t seem to recognize him as one. And yeah it’s kind of weird that Fives and Tup are besties now when that wasn’t so much supported in Umbara, Tup and fucking Dogma seemed closer.
Anyways this is a very solid episode, going to say 9/10. It’s extremely intriguing but it always feels like it’s missing that one thing to make it great, I can’t quite place what it is though.

Conspiracy is different, it’s really unique imo, it almost feels like a typical Padme political episode due to lack of action and the amount of talking but it’s much more interesting than those Padme episodes. It carries on the mystery from the previous episode but adds sort of an unexpected conflict between Jedi and the Kaminoans who also seem to think they are working for a Jedi themselves. Its clear they think “Lord Tyranous” is a Jedi which is pretty cool to me.
I like the moral questions the episode raises and I agree with Spider that AZ-3 is probably my favorite droid on the show other than R2. AZ-3 is pretty humorous in a blunt way, kind of reminds me of K2 from Rogue One at times but less grim. I think I expected Tup to die the first time but I didn’t really think Fives would, direct or indirect, be the cause of his death.
Oh and I liked seeing the council involved, I wonder when this episode takes place, noticed there was two empty seats. One is obviously Shaak’s, I guess this could be before Oppo was promoted? Or maybe he was there, I forget now. Not like that matters too much, maybe one Jedi just couldn’t be present.
Anyways yeah I think this is an 8/10. No real faults but there’s nothing spectacular here.

I get that it’s been awhile since Umbara. Fives and Tup surely had time to bond. Just wish we could’ve seen that instead of it just kinda being told to us.
Maybe they could’ve given us an episode or two in Season 5 with the 501st to do this. Would’ve been better than the adventures of Gascon and WAC.

Fugitive keeps the exact same tone as Conspiracy. Seriously it’s pretty impressive that we can have two episodes with hardly any scenery change, barley any action, and basically just two characters to drive the plot and still manage to keep it entertaining. Sometimes I wonder where this writing was for the rest of the show...
I wonder if they say “Protocol 66” cause the other version could cause a reaction in clones if they were exposed to it? I also like how dangerously close the Sith plot comes to being unraveled yet everyone still has no idea. A reoccurring theme of The Lost Missions but a good one as I always complained Palpatines plan happens too easily with little faults, at least it’s being challenged slightly even if everyone acts like fools (not so much in this arc but in the Yoda one more so).
The chemistry between AZ-3 and Fives brings a lighter dynamic to an overall depressing and gloomy story which is refreshing at times. These episodes add a lot of depth to the lore and this arc probably ties into ROTS more so than any other arc in the show which I think is one of the reasons why I like if so much. I’m going to say another 8/10 for pretty much the same reasons as the previous episode.

I don’t know this is a really weird arc... it almost feels like a lot doesn’t happen at times and much seems like filler but at the same time it’s not filler. There’s a very odd balance in the pacing here (in a good way).

Orders is a fantastic conclusion, it’s amazing that a single clone is able to uncover almost all of the Chancellors plot. I wonder if Palpatine told him the entire truth when they were alone and took a gamble that nobody would ever believe Fives word over his. I don’t really understand Nama Se that much though, she clearly has no idea who Palpatine really is but seems extremely loyal to a man she’s probably only ever seen over hologram. I wonder what she’s getting out of all of this. I also quite dislike a Shaak Ti, she just seems really dumb and is just a stand in counter balance for Fives. She pretty much gets manipulated for 3 episodes Seeing Fives traverse Coruscant was cool, the taxi scene and the bar both had their moments. I also agree he should have talked to Jesse, or just talk to both of them. I don’t really know what’s Fives plans were though? He kind of just stumbles into the bar and runs into Jesse and Kix, wasn’t planned or anything. Would have liked to see more from the Jedi council though, they should have pursued Fives stronger than they did. But fast forwarding to the ending stuff, Fives death is super powerful and is probably the saddest scene in the show for me. I also really love the animation on the laser blast, fantastic stuff. I’m going to give this one a 9/10. I think The Unknown is still my favorite in this arc but this is also really close. This arc isn’t super fast or action packed but it serves its purpose telling a coherent and interesting story that ties into ROTS quite well.

I finally got around to this arc, and it's still so good. The Unknown is such an awesome opening to the arc as we're thrown right into the action with a good mix of new and old characters. Everything looks amazing here as it feels like a true struggle between the CIS and Republic forces. Having Trench involved makes it even better, since he's one of my favorite Separatists.
Watching this tragic story begin with Tup's turn on Tiplar doesn't fail to captivate me, especially seeing how all the sides are reacting to it, whether its the clones, Jedi, Sith, or Separatists. There's such a cool mystery here, since we obviously know what will occur in ROTS, but we aren't sure what has caused Tup to turn before Order 66 is executed.
The best sequence for me is when the Separatists raid the Republic shuttle with Tup. There's such a unique feel to it unlike the zero gravity fights of S5 during the D-Squad and Younglings arcs, which felt like weaker versions of the one from S2's Holocron arc. I think the crooked camera angles and lighting definitely make this stand out. The continuous shot from the perspective of the one medical trooper who clearly isn't a match for the B2 Rocket Droids only adds to the intensity. Speaking of which, this arc makes great use of action sequences all from a continuous shot, which I love. It happens later on when Anakin, Fives, and Rex rescue Tup, and I believe it also happened in the battle near the start of the episode.
This episode covers a lot in it without feeling rushed, and it's just so much fun to see unfold. In some ways, this episode could stand on its own, but it serves as a strong intro to a stellar arc. I give it 9.5/10.

Conspiracy is a great continuation as we see Fives slowly realize that something bigger is happening in relation to Tup's breakdown. This mystery is compelling throughout the whole episode, even if Fives and AZ are the only characters we really focus on. Surprisingly, they work well together. I agree that AZ is probably the best original droid character in TCW.
I love the faded feel the entire episode has, since it mirrors the bleakness of the situation. It's also intriguing to learn more of the history of the clone army's creation as Nala Se and Lama Su talk with Tyranus. Even though there's not much action, this episode keeps my attention throughout. The uncertainty of whether Fives contributed to Tup's death at the end also makes it more powerful.
While not as strong as the previous installment, it's still a great episode. 8/10.

Fugitive is very similar in style to Conspiracy, but that's not a bad thing. I really enjoy the first half of this episode as we see Fives and AZ on the run. The scene where Fives escapes from his escort to have his memory wiped is another really cool action sequence largely filmed as one shot. It appeared that Shaak Ti was okay with having a memory wipe on Fives, which makes me like her a even less. While she has her moments of standing up to Nala Se, she's still too ignorant for a Jedi amidst everything going on here.
Nala Se also acts pretty suspicious this episode, but I guess Kaminoans in general are sketchy. Fives and AZ continue to work as a fun duo in this episode. I'm so glad AZ works, because if his character was written poorly, this episode and the last would both be much less enjoyable.
I don't have much else to say with this one. I can't decide if it's significantly better or worse than the previous, so I'll also give it an 8/10.

Orders wraps up this arc magnificently. When Nala Se drugs Fives at the beginning, it puts the final nail in the coffin of making her a despicable character. I wish we could've seen Palpatine and Fives talk alone, but I suppose leaving the audience in the dark about what unfolded adds to the chaotic tone of this episode.
The taxi and clone bar scenes do a nice job of lightening the episode briefly. It's neat seeing these lighthearted moments juxtaposed with the near unraveling of such a grand political secret. Watching Fives frantically travel around Coruscant adds nicely to his unstable mental state, too.
The final standoff with Fives is one of the saddest moments in the show, especially because Anakin doesn't seem to believe him. Overall, this episode does a good job of connecting to ROTS. I really enjoy this episode and all it adds to the lore; however, I think The Unknown remains a better episode. 9/10.
