Has the movie cover for Desolation of Smaug been released yet? I need it so I can do something cool with my room.

I'm surprised this thread only has 9 pages. Anyways, how far do you think the movie will take us in the book? I'm guessing(SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK) around the Smaug/Bilbo conversation or Smaug attacking Lake-Town.

I'm fairly sure it's ending after Bilbo talks with Smaug. Smaug dying in the movie he's introduced in would be anti-climatic, and the movie would already be long enough if it ended at Smaug's lair. Plus, the attack on Laketown would be a great opening to There and Back Again. And I don't think that's really a spoiler.

Or that's how There and Back Again will start.

I don't understand this. "The unexpected Journey" ended with Bilbo entering Smaug's lair and the last scence ending with Bilbo standng there and Smaug waking up with his eye open then it finished. But in the trailer it shows sequences and clips of there adventures through Mirkwood and the barrel ride and etc. But all that happened even before Bilbo and the Dwarves reached the Lonely mountain to even encounter Smaug for the first time?

Bilbo never entered Smaug's lair in An Unexpected Journey. We just see a glimpse of it at the end but the company's still far away from it.

It's sort of like showing Darth Sidious at the end of Attack of the Clones. It's all just to foreshadow the villain and get you ready for their appearance coming up.

That makes sense. Part of the movie but didn't happen just yet. Kind of like a teaser to what will come and get you ready as you said. Okay I was scratching my head on that one for awhile .

This is a behind the scenes footage and talk of what's to come for "Desolation of Smaug". There are some funny parts and jokes from bloopers and etc from the cast. Tells you what's to come and tells you about some of the scenes and parts and lake town and more. In this video Jackson said that Battle of the Five armies will be in "There and back again", so we will gave to wait for that GAH. This is video is from facebook but should still work though. Some might have seen it but for those who haven't well uh here it is. It's a 10 minute clip but Start at 2:10 because the intro is just about some event that he can't attend. It get's better as you watch it. www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=537915632910713&set=vb.160617097307237&type=2&theater

In about a week they will release the second half of it and explain some more of what to expect and the final preaprations of the movie. The part with the dwarves dancing and excersizing was just a comedy thing but it was to stupid and made it funny .

Did anyone have a favorite Hobbit scene? For me I liked the Warg chase scene before Rivendell and the tree scene after. The trolls and Goblin Town were also good and funny. And of course Riddles in the Dark was great. There wasn't really a scene I disliked.

I agree Riddles in the Dark was a classic scence and was the scence that brought togehter The Hobbit and LOTR series. It was needed and a great scence and one of my favorites. Gollum was better than ever as you said and funny with how he said things . Bagginses? What the heck is a Bagginses.
