Ah, Nam beat me to it. Ah well. The trailer looks really good, yet I can tell there will be a lot of extra material compared to what was in the book, as I expected. Interesting how they have Pippin's song in this trailer though.

Yeah I think the Azog shot is the best and the dwarves in the actual armour But does Legolas and his bitch really belong... I don't think they're needed at all.

I don't really think they're needed either. But you know PJ. He has to make stuff like this occur in his film adaption of it. At least I like Legolas. Tauriel is alright.

I'm really hoping we see Saruman in awesome action, because Christopher Lee is epic and we need to see more of him Too bad he's not in this trailer.

I'm still hoping we see some foreshadowing of his fall in LOTR in this film when he goes to help rescue Gandalf. But according to a Christmas video from last year by Christopher Lee, he said this film had the most Saruman of the three. I really hope it does.

Apparently Peter Jackson originally didn't have the love triangle in the movie (I think him or someone else actually said at a time that there wouldn't be one). But then the studio told them to put it in. I guess that's what happens when studios have too much control over movies.

And he was only in the first for about 15 mins. I hope there's at least double that in this film. Perhaps some more Radagaat as well.

Radagast i am absolutely certain of. Remember Gandalf told him specifically not to follow him? Well he either will try and rescue Gandalf or he is gathering Galadriel and Saruman for their attack on Dol Goldur.

It is obivious Tauriel falls for Kili and vice versa. But it looks more like Legolas and Tauriel are just really good friends.

Although it didn't really bug me as much as it did other people. It wasn't necessary, but it didn't really bother me in the end.

Love that trailer! Definitely can't wait for this movie. I saw it on the big screen in theaters as a preview and it was even better. I don't know though I'm not sure if it will top DOS , that was a great sequel, we'll have to see.

What do you guys think? Will it top Desolation of Smaug? Yes, I think it will as long as they don't add so much extra material to the point where it becomes pointless. But even if it doesn't top TDOS, I'll still love the movie.

However I agree, I hope they do follow the book to somewhat accuracy as you said. I don't think it will be a problem though, for the past two years the hobbit has been the most anticipated movie for me and I think it will serve the same for 4 years as well.

www.christiantoday.com/article/the.hobbit.3.the.battle.of.the.five.armies.director.peter.jackson.45.minute.battle.scene/42350.htmSounds epic. I hope they decide to fill the entire land before the Lonely Mountain up. That's how I believe it was in the book as well as how I pictured it more or less. If my can recall correctly, I think there was a passage stating how the mountain was covered with orcs swarming it. Of course Tolkien may have been exaggerating or something and/or Peter Jackson may want to do it differently. I'm sure it will turn out great whichever way he goes. He seems to be putting a lot of thought into it. I also thought that 45 minutes seemed kinda average in a span of time, but considering that it will be the longest battle of the Middle-Earth Saga, I guess it longer than it sounds (to me at least). I thought the whole Minas Tirith battle was longer than that unless they consider that as two separate ones.

Also, it seems Nov. 6 will be when the official trailer (second one) releases. Part of me really wants to see it. The other part doesn't want it to release so that way more of the movie is a surprise.

They're really keeping quiet with this... I think around this time last year we were getting our third Desolation of Smaug trailer. We've heard very little about this movie so far and it's getting really close to release now.

We've heard very little about this movie so far and it's getting really close to release now. I think they mean to keep quiet with this film. Although considering that this movie will determine how successful the trilogy was overall compared to LOTR, you'd think they'd be advertising it more. I guess that the supposed trailer releasing this Thursday could possibly be the start of a final month and a half of heavy advertisement.
