I can't wait to see the inevitable Saruman, Galdriel and Radagast vs Sauron battle ! Seeing Galadriel rip the walls of Dol Guldur apart is going to be awesome. It's going to be a spectacle. And after that we get another spectacle! The Battle of The Five Armies!

I can't wait to see the inevitable Saruman, Galdriel and Radagast vs Sauron battle ! What about Elrond? And I'm really hoping that they make Saruman admire Sauron's powers to foreshadow his downfall. PJ said he'd like to do that abou a year ago.

I'm sort of afraid to ask this... But did anyone like the old LOTR movies more than the hobbit movies?

I'm sort of afraid to ask this... But did anyone like the old LOTR movies more than the hobbit movies? The old LOTR movies were better. No Disney bullshit filled action sequences. TDOS was Prince of Persian all over again... Nah it wasn't that bad but anyway.

Most people do. In fact, The Hobbit movies get a lot of hate, some that I can understand, but then some that's sort of ridiculous. Um... what does Disney have to do with The Hobbit? They have nothing to do with it. I don't know exactly why I don't like the hobbit movies as much... It's just sort of a feeling. It's really a different type of movie. It's definitely understandable that some people don't like them as much because they're different movies compared to LOTR. The Hobbit was written first as more of a children's tale while LOTR was written later as more of a war story. So they're definitely different and that means they end up being different movies. Something that might make you like them more is to watch them not expecting another LOTR, but The Hobbit. I think that's a mistake a lot of people made when they first saw An Unexpected Journey. They were expecting the next installment of LOTR but instead got The Hobbit.

If The Hobbit had been released first, I still think that it would be liked, but many would say that LOTR turned out to be a more "epic" trilogy. (But thats becuase of the books and their style of writing) I like both trilogies for different reasons though. Just like SW.

Idk the tight action mixed with changes from the book felt Disney to me. Even though they had nothing to do with it. Don't mind me.

When do you think we'll get a trailer for the final film? I know it should be soon. TDOS trailer came out June 11 last year so I'm using that as a rough release for the first trailer for TBOTFA. I'm sure that when it does come out though, it'll be awesome and possibly have a cool tease of the armies marching for that climatic battle that's too come along with many other things.

When they say Teaser they mean first trailer. The "teaser" last year was over 2 minutes long, and then the real "trailer" in October (like they've always done) was also around 2 minutes or so. I don't like how studios use the terms teasers and trailers like they're different because a lot of the time they're the same. But don't think of it as a bad thing. This teaser will most likely be like the one we got for DOS in June of last year (which, like I said before, was pretty substantial and was 2 minutes long).

I've seen some rumors circulating that the first trailer/teaser we get will contain only four spoken lines. So they think that means either it's short (I hope not) or it's just a more serious tone than everyone was expecting. I hope this first trailer comes soon though. Last year, the TDOS trailer ha been out for a month by now. Maybe mid-July or so. Aren't they waiting for Comic-Con or something?

Luckily, not many movies put out 15 second teasers, but a lot of the time when they do it's basically a trailer for a trailer, and those are pretty annoying.

I'm actually pretty excited for this one to be honest I came watching DOS which higher expectations then the movie could live up too. I was kinda disappointed for a lot but the ending was good.

I'm in a very small minority but I think I actually liked An Unexpected Journey better than Desolation of Smaug. Maybe it's because I had extremely high expectations for DOS, but AUJ just felt like a better overall movie. But that's probably because DOS was the middle part and it didn't really have a real beginning or end (even though I thought the cliffhanger was awesome).

I gave both movies a 10/10 but i thought Smaug was a bit more exhausting (in a good way) then AUJ

Really wasn't the ESB kinda movie.
