I agree Riddles in the Dark was a classic scence and was the scence that brought togehter The Hobbit and LOTR series. It was needed and a great scence and one of my favorites. Gollum was better than ever as you said and funny with how he said things . Bagginses? What the heck is a Bagginses. And also how the split personalities acted togeather. "We knows the answer! Shut Up!" Ha, I know right the look on Bilbo's face when he saw Gollum do that as if he was talking to himself was priceless .

They picked a great actor to play as Bilbo in my opinion as well. He had that Hobbit look to him. Most was just the costume and the makeup and etc. But he himslef had the look to play the part greatly. Martin did a good job.

Do you think that they'll actually show Sauron in human-like form in the Hobbit? I think that some sources say that they will.

It be nice if they released some posters for the movie characters and then sometime in September a second trailer.

(I was going to say this above in quotation to star). Anyways how would it be possible for Sauron to even be in human form in the Hobbit? The big battle where he was defeated and the ring was cut from his hand happened before the Hobbit. So Sauron in the time of the Hobbit would have already been in spirit form by then.
Anybody know what this so called Necromancer from the movie is? Could it be Sauron. I mean we saw the Witch King fight Radaghast so not to far behind would be Sauron normally. In the trailer for Desolation of Smaug it shows Gandalf and Radaghast checking into that matter more. I'm interested to see what they will discover.

He was perfect as Bilbo I also loved him in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I think that the Necromancer is Sauron but he is not a person but a spirit. Becuase when it showed him really quick he didn't look solid but ghost like in the shadows. Sauron is a wizard (person with power, maybe not wizard) so that would explain the giant spider's, no trees growing and etc. The one who fought Radaghast really quick was the Witch King becuase he even brought back a mulicle blade to show it was the Witch King. Only some body with power to un seal the tombs of the Nazgul could have set them free. More than likely Sauron being that the Nazgul are his army and Generals type of thing.

I think I'm going to find that I'll like the Hobbit trilogy better than the LOTR series itself. Each one has it's own adventurous side to it but this one is more in depth and engaging...so far.

This is one of my favorite scenes from The Hobbit. Things get real when Gandalf arrives. I also really like the scene when Bilbo saves Thorin and then the other dwarves save Bilbo. What are your favorite scenes? My favorite scene is when Bombur walks out with 5 cheese blocks from Bilbo's pantry and Bilbo goes "Do you need a cheese knife for that" and then Bofur goes " Kinfe? He eats it by the block" . Second would be the part with Radaghast seeing the Necromancer and that whole scence. I like Radaghast he's funny.

I LOVED An Unexpected Journey, don't get me wrong, but I still didn't think it was better than any of the LOTR ones:P But I hope Desolation of Smaug and There and Back Again will be as good or better

It's probably just because it's all stuff I haven't seen before. So all of it is way more unexpected and wow . Once I see the Hobbit over and over (all three parts) the original 3 might still be the best. But who knows I hope the best in the Hobbit is yet to come! (which I'm sure it is).

I think by definition, I'm now a fan of the LOTR franchise.... Now I'm getting impulses to get some more LOTR/Hobbit sets.......

You just watched them for a first time? I remember the first time I watched all 3 movies in the series. My face was like the whole time. It's a good series (Almost like it better than Star Wars and that being said only for the movies and The Hobbit combined). I still have to check out the extended versions of all 3 movies. They show footage that aren't in the thearetical versions.

And I ordered the extended versions on Netflix but there was a long wait... :\

Peter Jackson's ego is making me angry. Rumour has it that Tauriel and Kili might have a romance. WTH? Seriously, The Hobbit isn't HIS and he should be honouring Tolkien. The movies are good, I admit, but the books are far superior and all the changes are annoying me.

And the movies are amazing but the books just can't be topped.

Romances are OK, but they should not be forced, and it's obviously going to be forced between Kili and Tauriel if it actually happens!

My favorite LOTR movie is the two towers. I think there were a lot of different things going on at once and Frodo and Sam didn't get as much screen time when Frodo's like one of the main characters When I watch TTT I almost feel like they made Aragorn the main character. And in my opinion I thought it was the weakest for some reason. But it was still epic.
