Both are them are villainous, but given the movies make Plankton the enemy, I'll go with that.

Spongebob may have one of the best cartoon soundtracks and I don't think it's appreciated enough

It wasn't just the original music that ruled either. Most of the free to use stuff is absolute gold.

I rewatched "Christmas Who?" last weekend, and it proved how well the original episodes still hold up. It kind of tempted me to go back through the first 3 seasons and the best post-movie episodes, especially after Hillenburg's passing.

Rewatch stars rn Maybe I can go through and compile a list of all the episodes worth watching after S3. I haven't watched much since S9 though, so I would have to rely on online opinions and ratings at that point.

Not really sure what the point of a rewatch for this show would be though... TCW is building up to the new episodes and given the type of show it is, warrants more in-depth discussion. I guess we could just talk about why we like certain episodes and characters, maybe rank them, and whatnot lol

I think I've seen a video of his before. There are some other channels that review each season episode by episode, which I may look at for some guidance as well.

I took back my plankton vote on the poll. Like he's just a guy trying to make it in life and everyone just bullies him. Mr. Krabs on the other hand may be a cannibal

Seriously though, what happened in 1999 was the birth of utterly genius comedy. For the first time a cartoon rose to obtain the ubiquity of Bugs and Mickey and it was a freaking sea sponge. While tonnes of material similar and of equal talent have come before and after it, none really got a hold of the worldwide love SpongeBob got, or rather continues getting. Okay, sure, it's never been the same since series 3 (4 if you're going easy on it), but I think that just displays how special Steven Hillenberg's creation is and how much of an impact it made. 20 years on and it still holds up, it still rocks and it still memes. Thank god we got to live in the time when this exists.
