If you see it on sale I’d recommend. It’s very much like watching a movie but with more comic elements. The combat gets a little repetitive but the characters and narrative are both solid. Pretty good comedy and the soundtrack is wonderful. Nice collection of 80s music. I’m on chapter 11 out of 16 now. The style and gameplay is very much different from avengers. I think GoTG didn’t get the recognition it deserved because of that.

Has anyone else in their own country been suffering badly with cost of living going up or at least seen the effects of it happening? Bills are supposed to rise again in October and I'm left wondering if this is heading for economic apocalypse. Either that or the news is kind of exaggerating it

I started my first real job as an analyst at a life insurance company. It's going to be so boring lol but I feel lucky I got it, I was really worried about finding work after finishing school. Tbh I'm surprised they even hired me because my resume kinda sucks and the interview didn't go so well. I'm guessing it could be one of or all these factors: I took a life insurance class in college so they probably prefer some experience even in a no experience role. Or it's because I lowballed them on the salary which I feel like is very likely. Or I'm just a diversity hire lol

At least here I'm getting to work from home but still. Kinda regret going to business school, I realized too late I hate that kind of work. I'd love to do something in the film industry but not really sure how to go about that... I guess we'll see if that ever goes any where or stays a dream lol I started my first real job as an analyst at a life insurance company. Haven't gotten to actually do anything yet but think it's mostly just spreadsheets and report stuff. I'm sorta lost right now but once I learn how to do things, I feel like it shouldn't be that hard. Everyone is also super chill which is great because apparently that's not necessarily common in workplaces. Hear about a lot of annoying people and jerks from my parents at their jobs so another reason I feel like I got lucky

Wouldn't hurt to think it over. Well at least you've got a good work culture. I lucked into a fairly chill office too and to be honest I never stop feeling thankful for it

Well it's official. I'm going to Celebration next year That’s really cool!!! Honestly if it ever came to Canada I think I’d want to go but at the same time it would likely go to Toronto and that area is way too daunting for me in regards to driving and what not. It looked super fun this year like Kenobi said. Are you going to dress up? I think I would go as like a Old Republic Sith or something.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_CelebrationI didn’t realize they did them for the prequel movies… and I kinda thought there was almost one every year since the 30th anniversary of the franchise back in 07 but apparently they seem to only do it when they have something to promote. I guess 2023 is 40th anniversary of ROTJ and maybe they will promote Ahsoka or something. Could see them skipping 2024 as I don’t think there’s anything to promote there. 2025 is 20th anniversary of ROTS and already 10th anniversary of TFA. I wonder what the guest attendances are like outside the US. Hopefully there’s a lot of people there!!! Ewan is from Scotland and I think Ian goes almost every year. Pretty sure Hamill used to go almost every year too but strangely he wasn’t at Anaheim despite it being in his backyard.

You could probably look at past saturdays though, I think the event generally follows the same flow for the days it’s on. If I had to guess the 2023 Celebration will be focused on ROTJ 40th Anniversary, Ahsoka TV show, Andor season 2, and I think there’s gonna be an emphasis on KOTOR actually as it’s the 20th anniversary in 2023 and the PS5/ PC remake is in development.

I guess Indiana Jones 5 too and I think it’s 40th anniversary of temple of doom. They usually seem to incorporate the other Lucasfilm stuff into the celebrations.

It might not be called that in the Netherlands though No, I did a second bachelors degree, which I will finish if my thesis gets approved... then I will do my masters degree after the summer break. And yeah we call it a masters degree here too since the 90s when the EU created a unified degree system.

Well, finally finished my thesis and now I can relax again. That's great man. I'm guessing it was a bit of a challenge? It's terrible, especially the creative process of actually coming up with a proper research question. You need to connect it to existing academic work but you also need to contribute something new... which is a challenging balance. And since I had to write about European law I didn't have a clue how to write one anyway... it is not exactly something you research in a regular way, you already know what is in the laws. But in the end I think it turned out better than both if my history theses (I failed the first one) and my teacher seemed positive durung the last meeting... so I think I should be fine.

Yep, the UK might break its hottest day record. Luckily I won't be there to see it because I'm on the French north coast on holiday for the first time in 3 years Honestly thought it would feel strange after so long, but it just feels like yesterday when I was last abroad

I hear a lot of people are dying over there from the heat cause no buildings are equipped for it. They aren’t really in Canada either but people are probably just more used to extreme weather in general here mainly due to our winters and stuff.

Although the grass is as yellow as a Texan suburd lol
