Got a casual sort of job interview tomorrow at a florist's. Could be about delivery driving or something else, but all I know is I'm pretty nervous about it. Never had a job interview before and since it doesn't take much to make me anxious, it's not surprising me with how nervous I am  |

I really need to start applying to a lot more places to get a job I just wish I had more stuff to put on my resume lol Thanks, I didn't get the job, but I appreciate it In the end they just didn't seem to have time to train me and they weren't sure they could afford having me on the insurance for the delivery van. On the bright side, it gave experience in job interviews. |

A look through the WayBackMachine reveals that the NexusRoute was accessible as recently as January 2021, so the decommissioning of the website was presumably quite recent. |

Must have been manually deleted I guess. Very possible. Either way, it feels weird seeing it gone. I remember way back in the SW.com days of when people were going and froing from there and NR. Not sure if it helped establish the more long time, permanent members of our community, but it did sort of provide a start towards not just using SW.com to talk. |

Got a big job interview for tomorrow. Apparently it lasts an hour, but I really hope it's shorter in the end. I'm already nervous as it is. I just want to get it over with |

I checked NR some time back and it was completely dead so it make sense she shut it down. I believe she was actually paying for the site domain or whatever it's called so yeah I would've shut it down a long time ago lol

Thank you! Well, it's an inbound call centre job, where you register people's warranties for their appliances. You also try to suggest putting them on the company's insurance plan, so it's also a sales target job. It's a bit daunting, but honestly, the training people have been unbelievably supportive and helpful that it makes the job seem far more manageable |

I’ve just been working a lot, been a store manager at a big chain retail store for the past couple years. Hoping this year I can start the process of getting my own store to run as an owner. It’s kinda weird lol but I enjoy what I do and left my schooling for it however I work a lot of hours. |

Overall, can't complain Canada is so backwater with Covid… I think it’s just our healthcare isn’t as good as it seems. Just not enough infrastructure for it. Despite the country having over a 80% vax rate we still got a lot of restrictions. But the provinces have had enough now and are starting to all lift the restrictions themselves. |

Yeah, still live in the Netherlands, but I moved a bit to north (I used to live pretty far south) though I am still in the same province. I actually avoided the entire Dutch housing crisis by winning a housing lottery, so there is no way I am leaving either. All my lessons have been online from march 2020 up until 2 weeks ago, so I haven't been travelling to university a lot, but I study in Amsterdam which is still a 1 hour train ride from where I live now... an improvement from where I lived before but I still kind of miss online lessons... And that sounds pretty cool. What kind of store are you going to start? Do you plan on continuing your studies at any point or are you just going to keep doing this? I actually tried working in a store for about a month and I thought it was hell... |
