If my signature is correct, my win rate is about 33% lol Although I guess theoretically winning 1 out of 3 games is pretty decent for something like this. Did you keep track of all games? Only the ones I played, and I think it was every game from Star Smugglers. I can't recall off the top of my head if I missed any since then but there might've been one or two.

aghp.wikia.com/wiki/NewanI did my own page and counted games I played and looked at games I won... I know I didn't plays Fisto's game or Stars first game (only 2 I missed in the site). I know I only played the last 3 on SW.com and I know I won TWOM-E and i'm pretty sure I won The Rising Menace although i'm not entirely certain on that one. As for the rest I just looked here and should be right unless I counted one wrong. Also looks like 2 games on this site were just abandoned and never finished... So if you exclude those 2, I have a 50% win rate I think might have to double check my counting. I didn't include mini games obviously.

Too bad Ambodia never got popular. It could be played with much smaller groups and still allow us to share stories. Speaking of Ambodia, I am actually writing a fantasy book (I have about 60 pages) and I there is an ancient language which I based on the language I made for Ambodia. You writing fantasy sounds like a really good combo. I hope you can get it off the ground But holy crud, I almost forgot about Ambodia I probably would have given it a crack if I had more time.

It was pretty hard to get started, I had the story in my head for years but to actually write things down is quite a struggle. But then I realized I had been using normal page size, while most books use smaller pages, so I changed the page size and it turned out I had written quite a lot. So since then things sped up a bit. Yesterday I actually sent the first chapter to this girl I have been exchanging letters with. She is obsessed with reading and fantasy and she wants to try and write a book too. So we are going to exchange chapters. I am kind of nervous about showing it to her, but it will be good to get my first feedback. And I wonder if we could set up a new version of Ambodia, we still have enough active players to make it work and perhaps we can just make it a slow thing so people don't have to worry about not having enough time.

Working with smaller pages can actually help in producing work faster I find. And honestly I think you did a good thing in asking for a second opinion. It's one of the first steps in growing and evolving as a writer. I would be down with playing an Ambodia revival. If we star slow and small like you said then maybe we can make the idea work a bit better.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Scruffy? No I thought not. It is not a story the loyals would tell you. It's a scum legend. Scruffy was a scum, so bad and so angry he could use his teammates to lose games... He had such knowledge of getting betrayed he could even lose the games he won. The Scruffy way of the Ambush Games is a path way to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so angry... the only thing he was afraid of was playing more games, which eventually, of course, he didn't. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice won the game. Ironic. He could save others from losing, but not himself.

By the way, that is probably the best post on this forum.
