Right I wanted to give people enough time to comment... guess they have had that time.
Question 1
For most mentioned this is how I counted: In the large threads I searched the name of a user in the search bar, then searched on each result page with the control + F function. Then I counted the amount of results on each page and took a certain percentage off the number since there would probably be quotes which could inflate the numbers but I don't think those should really count. So these are estimates, but probably close to the truth. Also, I did not check every single user, I knew who the most likely candidates were, so I checked those people only.
The most mentioned user is Jodo, with an estimated 794 mentions.
The second place goes to Squiggy with 521 mentions.
And the third place goes to Dark with 410 mentions.
Honorable mention: Echani, at 400 mentions.
Question 2
These are not estimates. I counted the posts in all threads, excluding the ones with 0 replies and the ones that were moved from other parts of the forum.
Newan takes first place with 1565 posts.
Spider recently got the second place with 1185.
Nam is at 1149, despite his three year absence.
I am in fourth place with 1041 posts.
Potato is last with 436.
Question 3
The mode forum has 5755 posts in total (this includes two moved threads in case you are wondering why the numbers don't add up).
Question 4
The mod forums have 23 threads, including the moved ones.
Bonus Question:
Dark, Ivar and Kenobi are the ones who got a thread named after them for varying reasons.

Next, I'll guess the post count hovers around 8,000 and 10,000. And finally my answer for how many threads comes towards 27, or 31. Let's see how far off the mark I was on all of them  0 points. My question, the almost 6th mod, was Kenobi back when the site was very active and Tater was a bit less active for awhile. Others were considered as well but Kenobi was quite active.

Not just Kenobi though: Yeah, I think deleting them was a good idea. Also, do you guys think I should make more people Mods? With all of these trolls it might be safe to have more people that can ban users. Kenobi, Nat, and Mav would make good Mods but I want to be sure they'll be on the forums a little more before they're promoted. Ivar would be good too but I don't know if he'll be able to get on for a while. Oh, and Newan might also be good because he's active. You were kind of like an afterthought. Honestly, we should demod you and mod Kenobi, Mav and Nat. |

That was years ago now and it still sucks. Natalie always knew how to keep the friendly comradery going here. Yeah Nam left because of some of the discussions in the politics thread about homosexuality and he felt offended by that I think. I don't think it was just because Newan said faggot. He told me about it because I defended homosexuality so he knew I wouldn't judge I guess. Nam if somehow you are reading this, I kept your secret, they all figured it out. |
