It is weird how I am now a bit disappointed we are only getting 12 episodes. An hour ago I didn't think we would be getting anything every again...

Hmm, so if it's 12 episodes, maybe they're longer than usual? Like 30-40 minutes? Bad Batch and Siege of Mandalore could each be compressed into 2-3 episodes each that way, which would leave room for more arcs. Although I think that's unlikely.

When we first heard the announcement, it made it sound like we'd be getting everything, so now it feels like we've been conned out of extra content when we really haven't. Even though we know the basics of how Siege of Mandalore goes, I'm just happy to see it animated. Honestly, even if we were just getting that, it'd be good news. It'll be great to finally see what was always intended to be the ending of The Clone Wars.

There is still one option for more content though: They have more seasons planned. Like Spider pointed out ROTS takes place over a longer timespan. The Siege of Mandalore is called a Siege, not a battle, for a reason. Sieges take time. So perhaps what we are seeing in this trailer is just the beginning of the siege. So maybe we get "season 7" (quotation marks, because it is still not a full season) with 12 episodes, 4 centered around Mandalore. And then "season 8" with another 12 episodes, the final four dealing with the end of the Siege.
Probably wrong, but just a thought. I just hope we get to see Grievous again too. I miss that guy the most. The other characters I like can still show up in other content Bane, is still alive unless they show him die in these episodes, which means we would see him again anyway. Maul already appeared in other content, and he may again in the future. Obi-wan and Anakin are basically confirmed to show up somewhere again at some point. Ahsoka is probably going to appear in a future animated series as well. So yeah... Give me Grievous!

If Disney gives us two 12 episodes seasons I consider their debt repaid. We would miss out on some filler episodes, but we would still get all the important stuff. If it is just one 12 episode season I will still not forgive them fully.

What I wonder if if that shot in the trailer is just before the Battle of Coruscant. You can see all the Republic ships as if they are preparing to go to battle, and Anakin and Obi-wan are likely there. If they already animated the beginning of the Battle of Coruscant I am certain we won't get anything more. |

I think the #CloneWarsSaved thing is stupid. Nice marketing trick by Disney but if we are only getting 12 more episodes the Clone Wars was not saved. I hope people realize that. Disney still cancelled it. If they decide to release a few more episodes that is great, but that does not make up for taking away over 50 episodes we would have gotten if they had not intervened.

After the 12 episode reveal thing I feel like Disney's real goal is to shut up fans. Every official Star Wars video always has people posting things like #SaveTheCloneWars it is bad for Disney's reputation with (future) Star Wars fans. If they release the final arc, they can claim the properly ended the show and those comments will probably disappear sooner. Also, I already read articles saying the Siege of Mandalore was supposed to be the series finale we would get at the end of season 6. Which is obviously false, but if people start to believe that... I guess I am reading too much into this, but I still feel kind of cheated by Disney. |

And Disney still made The Last Jedi... Well, you see, we can just pretend Last Jedi doesn't exist... but we cannot pretend season 6, 7 and 8 of the Clone Wars DO exist. Besides, I just don't really care about non-TCW Star Wars anymore. If Disney gives me those three seasons they can mess up their sequel trilogy all they want. |

I literally said the same thing at first but it's not true. I would need at least SOD, DD, and the bounty hunter arc (I need a better name for that). Here is what I need to forgive Disney: - Utapua arc (4 episodes)
- Bad Batch arc (4 episodes)
- Son of Dathomir( 4 episodes)
- Dark disciple (8 episodes)
- Siege of Mandalore (8 at least probably episodes)
- Grievous backstory (4 episodes) (They said we would get a Grievous backstory at some point)
- Bounty Hunter arc (4 episodes) (unless Disney is going to use this for a movie, I can accept that as long as Cad Bane is in it.)
- Two more arcs (8 episodes)
That's 40 episodes. I am being generous I will forgive the other 16+ they owe us. |
