Aight, so with Infinity War coming out this year I thought it'd be fun to do an MCU single elimination tournament. And hopefully we can finally put together a list to the ancient question: what is the best MCU movie?
I'm doing the seeding by Rotten Tomatoes Score, so it works out with Black Panther, Iron Man, Thor: Ragnarok, and so on.
This thread and the right side thread both have one contest going on, so be sure to check both out!

Round Zero (Battle for the Bottom)Ok, so since the MCU has 18 movies and we only need 16, first we're going to have to vote out the loser from the worst of the films(by Tomatometer): So, which is better? VS.

Iron Man 2 is enjoyable. I don't even remember The Incredible Hulk and neither does Marvel i think.

Yeah I'm with Ivar, I honestly don't really remember The Incredible Hulk and it seems like the producers don't care for him much.
Iron Man 2 is ok, RDJ makes it good

I actually prefer Hulk. Even though none of it carries over (besides William Hurt) and it doesn’t feel much like an MCU film, the story and action works better for me than IM2 does.

Seeing IM2 in theatres was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. I'm still trying to figure out how I roped my sister and mother to join As forgettable as it is, I'll happily take Incredible Hulk before that. At least the latter didn't contain pee jokes...

The biggest problem with Iron Man 2 is that it was basically a trailer for the Avengers. Especially after the stellar Iron Man 1, people probably went to this movie expecting something like The Dark Knight only to get shafted. Having Avengers coming meant there was really no tension or interesting places to take the character. Age of Ultron has a similar problem.

I watched IM2 last night and intend to watch Hulk today. I'll break the tie after I'm done viewing it.

These two films are both among the weakest the franchise has to offer, but I think I like Hulk a little more than IM2. Although there's more going on in Iron Man 2 and RDJ is great, the plot doesn't feel like it evolves much. It's mostly just a set up for the Avengers, with some more character building for Tony. Vanko is a neat villain, but he doesn't do a whole lot. Black Widow was also not nearly as interesting a character in this film as I remembered. As for Hulk, I liked it more than when I first watched it several years back, and Edward Norton isn't as bad as some make him out to be. I think the plot, while generic, is engaging and entertaining, and takes the viewer through a more complete narrative. Abomination is also pretty cool and I enjoy the concept of the Hulk in general.

Going against Rotten Tomatoes on this one. TWS is clearly better. Really enjoyed Doctor Strange but honestly, it's pretty forgettable.

It's been a while since I've seen both, but I think I enjoyed Winter Soldier more than Doctor Strange, even though Benedict Cumberbatch was great.

Doctor Strange all the way. My favorite Marvel film (so far)
Captain America films always suffer because Captain America himself is a weak character and extremely lame. Winter Soldier is a great film but falls short in its main character.

The first hour or so of TFA is among the best of the MCU. But after Bucky is rescued, it's just kind of meh. Like they literally montaged through the most exciting shit.

Spider-man: Homecoming no question. One of Marvel's best (even though the poster is hideous)
Who would've thought Vulture, one of the dumbest comic book characters ever, would be the MCU villian to date.

I really like the First Avenger and how it kicks off Cap's character. However, parts of it drag, and I thought Vulture was a better villain (sorry Hugo Weaving). Homecoming is a lot more light-hearted and enjoyable, and I liked Holland's portrayal of Spider-Man. Both are really good, but I have to give it to Homecoming.
